Finding Long Tail Kewyords using Ubersuggest


We had talked about finding low competitive keywords using Google search. Here’s a new way of finding keywords, using a free tool called Ubersuggest.

Ubersuggest is one of the best keyword research tools. Its actually a tool which scrapes Google Suggestions and generates a list of long tail keywords with your main keyword in it.

Whenever you type something in the search bar, you get a list of suggestions related to the term you’ve put. Ubersuggest scrapes all these suggestions along with some extra effects.

Keyword- SEO, Suggestions Received are Long Tail keywords


But when you put in some other alphabets, such as “SEO a” , you start getting different suggestions-

Keyword- “SEO a ” Suggestions – Long tail keywords

Ubersuggest scrapes all the keywords with an alphabet, for example- “SEO a” , “SEO b” and so on… You’ll end up with a gold mine of Long tail keywords , in an alphabetical order!

How To Find Long Tail Keywords using Ubersuggest-

Go to their official site- and enter your keyword-



Now,click on suggest. You’ll end up with a list of amazing keywords arranged in a special format- “SEO + a ” “SEO + b” and so on..



You’ll end up with a gold mine of keywords! Not only that, you can start writing posts on some of these terms. In my case, i would prefer to write on ” SEO best practices 2014″.

Results After Putting Ubersuggest Keywords Into Google AdWords-

I just tried to check the competition of the keyword and it was pretty low-



Yes, even the monthly search is really low. Nothing to worry. Choose a keyword from Ubersuggest and put in in Adwords, you’ll surely hit a sweet spot-



So, we started of with a simple keyword with high competition- “SEO” and now, we ended it with a gold mine of Low competition keywords 🙂 😉 !

    Nice post Hari. Ubersuggest is a nice tool. But the competition shown in Google Keyword planner is for ads, right? I searched for the keyword “search engine optimization techniques” and there were around 20 million results all from PR 4 to PR 7 blogs……. this is not low competition, I guess. Still it was an awesome post buddy and yes, I love the logos and infographics made by you 🙂 . No hard feelings.
